Waking up in a real bed
Waking up in a real bed never felt this… wait, stop! If we are being totally honest, we missed our cozy camper van bed! What has happened to us?! But it was still amazing to wake up in a cozy home and to have breakfast at a real table (instead of in our camping chairs).
Stuttgart
From spring to winter
It was a great stopover at Caro’s , but now it was time to say hi to another friend of mine: Sarah, who I had also met during my time in Cape Town and who I had travelled around South East Asia and Australia with in 2016.
Unfortunately, as soon as we got to Sarah’s in Stuttgart, the weather changed from sunny to windy, rainy, snowy and even hail. Lucky us!
Wine hike in the snow
We still went for a walk to a lookout point over Stuttgart, packed two bottles of wine (just in case) and off we were. However, the weather got even worse by the time we had arrived at the lookout, so all you could see now was mist and fog (if you could even open your eyes through the snow that kept smashing in your eyes).
We took the train back to Sarah’s and warmed up with hot Thai take-away food and more drinks. We also met Sarah’s boyfriend and had a great and especially warm evening together.
